Wow, where oh where is the year flying by to already????

Well, we finally put out another New release on Friday:

We also put up some older but revamped mini-kits I have been promising to put up for awhile. Check them out; Flirty Sorbet, It Looks Like Rain, and The Birds & The Bees.

The next new item on our agenda is that Plain Digital Wrapper is participating in Digi Scrap Connects Design Factor. It sounded so interesting that we just HAD to join so that means we have a freebie for you (well actually two since we didn't get a chance to post last weeks until after the deadline.

OK so I didn't get back with the link as early as I wanted too, sorry about that. I forgot that after the 8:30AM Pictures then 9AM soccer game we had told the kids and my cousin we'd go to the mall and see Santa. Oy vey I am SOOO glad that only has to happen once a year. Most especially since I am exhausted since I worked until 2AM and then had to be at the Soccer field at 8AM to make sure I got my girls in for pictures in a timely manner aka before the game started. I'm coaching my niece's U8 soccer team and this is was our second game of the season.

ANYWAY off my ramble and back to what y'all really came here for, I hope;) Our PDW store can be found HERE.

Grand Opening!!

OK so we have finally decided on a Grand Opening date @ PDW. Our store will open on Saturday December 11th! AND guess what for one weekend only December 11th-December 12th our ENTIRE store will be HALF OFF! While I am absolutely all for Quality Control it is not something that any other store I have ever sold in has had. Plain Digital Wrapper does though, a whole team dedicated to it in fact:) That is good news for you the customer, it means I won't be selling you any inferior product. But tonight for this exhausted, stressed out designer it is really wearing on me. I hadn't really thought about QC before I started putting stuff in stores nor did I realize how many fixes some of our older kits would need. I have learned from this process though... Never just assume because your product looks good to you it is up to snuff, Just because you BOUGHT a CU item doesn't necessarily mean IT is up to snuff. I'm thinking maybe I should start saving all of my items in PSD format on my EHD, hmmm it'd probably fill up way too quickly though LOL.

Anyways so that is why we have not announced a Grand Opening date as of yet. I MAY be making progress tonight though, time will tell, if I am we should have a date in mind soon:)

So we are getting things organized for our Grand Opening at PDW, we'll let you know the date as soon as we know. We'd like to finish up a few kits we were working on when we went on hiatus so that we have some new kits to offer. Which brings me to the point of this post while organizing I found a kit we made for a friend and then forgot to ever do anything with besides give it to her. BUT this kit desperately needs a name!!

So here's the deal help us name the kit and the winning name gets the kit for free! Oh and we're looking for something original, not something that's been used a million and one times....

I know I said we were going to be better at blogging but as with all efforts that fell by the wayside. BUT I have some very exciting news (that will also help this poor sad blog)!!

SO for those of you who know me you know I often have one Digi site that I really like and hang out at above all others obviously for the past year or so that has been...
AND for those of you who know me REALLY well you're also aware that I am completely incapable of NOT answering a good "call" at my favorite site. SO PDW had a designer call and we answered it and YEP it's official Bratty Sisters designs is off hiatus and will be selling at Plain Digital Wrapper. We still have to decide on a date for our Grand Opening and get some new kits together but keep watching this blog as it comes back to life:)

After a long hiatus we're back! Personal life got in the way of designing for a while, don't you HATE when that happens? We probably are not going to go back to selling at stores for a little while yet BUT we will be playing around and you know what that means? Yep that means freebies!

Poor Sad Blog

I know I/we promised more stuff in store soon....Well apparently in our life soon does not translate to as soon as I was thinking, are you as confused as I am? LOL

Seriously though we do have a few new kits ALMOST done but ya know life just REALLY gets in the way. I try not to complain or ramble on here 'cause I'm sure y'all are much more interested in our designs then our lives but I'm really having one of those nights where I feel the need to vent... Hope y'all don't mind and maybe will help you get a better picture of why our poor blog often gets neglected...

But that being said my lil sis and I lead very hectic lives. My baby sis has been having some health issues and me well my life is just CRAZY! Some of you know, but most of you probably don't, that I take care of my cousin (who has cerebral palsy) 24/7, I also watch my 2 1/2 YO "nephew" 3 days a week. And during breaks from school I also fill in with my 6 YO "niece." I've also been working (on & off) at getting my nursing degree, which is too long a story, but if all goes well I will be going back to school full-time in August and getting all that in place adds yet another thing to the to-do list. I also am going through some "issues" and have been working through them with a therapist which adds to the emotional stress. Anyway, That's just a simplistic view of all the things going on...

So out of my personal ramble we're still working on the designing, my creative burst didn't last as long as I hoped but am still hoping to finish up a few things in the next week or so.

Wow I'm glad that by now it's an established fact that I am a HORRIBLE blogger...I lead a hectic life! There have been alot of things going on and changing in my personal life and some changes in our Design life too. Sadly we've left DSG but we're still at DID and if you stay tuned there may be more exciting changes on the horizon;)

We've been having a bit of a design block as of late but we do have a few new things in the store (Including Mia's Dress) and the mojo is slowly creeping back so look for MORE new stuff soon!!

A New Year

YIKES, is it HONESTLY 2009 already?!? WOW how this year has flown by! So much has happened in 2008 that I am more then GLAD to be putting it behind me. I had a wonderful, exhilarating New Years Eve and I am filled with such a sense of positivity for this coming year!

WHEW there's been alot going on around here in Bratty Sister's Design world;) Life sure does get hectic, esp around holiday time. I have some exciting news to share with y'all=)

Our Arm has been twisted by a couple lovely ladies and Mego & I are proud to say that we are now officially Designing for Designs In Digital! We're really excited to be there and seems like a great group of gals. The coolest thing for me? There are 3 other gals there that are from Florida and actually live quite close by!!

Gratituesday

Have y'all read about Gratituesday? Well if not you can read about it on Heavenly Homemakers blog In short it's taking one day out of the week, in this case Tuesday's to state what we are grateful for. My first post on Gratituesday actually is the same theme as Heavenly Homemakers Since this weekend is about celebrating Mother's I am grateful that for 23 years of my life I got to have the best Mommy that any girl could ever asked for! My Mom has been in Heaven for 3 years and consequently Mother's Day is extremely difficult for me so I thought sharing about my VERY special Mom with y'all would help.

My Mom was a beautiful person, inside and out. A lot of people didn't see that because they couldn't see past her weight. BUT for those who were lucky enough to have been her friend or have their lives touched by her they'll tell you of her true beauty.

My Mom had a heart of gold, there wasn't anything she wouldn't have done for anyone, friend OR stranger. She was truly one of those people that embodied the saying "she'll give you the shirt off her back" Even though we didn't have a lot of money I can't think of a thing that I lacked for. I played alot of sports and was in a lot of activities in school and she always figured out how to get me all those "essential", that in the long run were really non-essential things, that came along with it.

My Mom was my biggest fan, my biggest defender, and for the years she knew me as an adult my BEST friend. My Mom thought I could do orbe ANYTHING, some people would say that's part of being a mother but not every Mother Truly believes that about their child the way my Mom did.

Everything that is good in me I owe to my Mom. She taught me kindness, compassion, empathy, courage, strength, and much more. She even tried to teach me to believe in myself, something I still struggle with but not for lack of my Mother's trying.

My mother loved me, my little sister, and my father unconditionally. There was nothing we could do to make her love us any less.

My Mom taught me to cook, clean, knit, and tried her best to teach me to sew. I can sew without a sewing machine but on a machine the most I can do is a straight line, hahaha.

There were so many things about my Mother that were truly wonderful, these are just a few.

And while we're being Grateful I'm also grateful for my family & friends, who have helped me through the difficulty of my Mom's untimely death. I have always been extremly close to my Aunt (and the rest of my family on my Dad's side) and I am grateful that she is here for me in a "second mother" type of role. So what are you grateful for? Come on don't be shy tell us the things in your life that make you grateful!

Sheesh have I mentioned what a BAD blogger I am??? Things have been really crazy around here. We're done with our home renovation project but my "Grandfather" has been very ill and is on hospice. SO consequentially I have been very busy, BUT I am going to try to keep this up to date better. I have even been bouncing ideas around with my CT about some fun things we could do.

Well we have a NEW store=) We are now selling at Studio Style designs and I am working on getting our kits in the store there right now=)

We're also working on a few new kits, I am packaging up on right now as we speak. I'll give you a hint: It's gonna be great for all the men in your life;)

WOW, things have been busy here! Sorry I/we haven't posted in quite a while but things have been pretty busy. Personally I've been going through a home renovation project that has taken more time then expected. PLUS we've been busy with some special collab projects. I will let y'all in on what they are ass soon as they are together and in stores;)

Speaking of stores, well y'all probably know this but I haven't had a chance to post it lol. Sadly DigiBytes has closed due to the sit owner having health problems.

Also we have 2 new kits that should be in stores in the next few days. I will be getting together a sampler of both these kits soon. I am TOTALLY in love with these 2 kits they are kind of coordinating; Drama Queen and Drama Prince are their names=) They were inspired by my "niece" and "nephew" the quintessential Drama Prince and Queen;)

I am Sad to not have another kit to make and also RELIEVED because I have SOOO much to do in the coming week. SO do you want to see the last kit? Hey everyone, my names Megan Rose, but everyone calls me Mego. I'm the other half of Bratty Sisters Designs. I'm 19 years old, I live in Maine and have lived here all my life. I take care of a 20 month old girl named Draya 3 nights and 3 days out of the week, I also have a job working on the kids unit at a mental hospital. I love working with kids, I plan on going to college for Child Care Development so that I can own a daycare.

Hi everyone my name is Ariane; Ari for short. I am one half of Bratty sisters designs=) My lil sister Mego and I have been dabbling in design lately and I thought it would be better to keep a blog for our designs rather then posting them all on my CT Blog. I started giving away a freebie on my blog because it is one I designed by myself for my Lil' Sis's (the other half of bratty sisters designs)
Birthday. But we will be posting all our future freebies here=)

OK so a lil about me: I am 26 years old and I live in sunny Florida. I take care of my 27 yo cousin (Aurora) who has Cerebral Palsy and babysit my 14 month old "nephew" Draven 2 days a week. I have him 2 days a week. I also have a "Niece" Mia, who just turned 5 years old. My niece, nephew and Aurora inspire ALOT of my LO's=) Also I have finished all my pre-reqs and am on a waiting list to be accepted into nursing school.

I have been digi-scrappin for about a year now. After having made a paper scrap album for my grandmother last Christmas I discovered digi-scrapping. From there I was hooked. It was so much faster and NEATER then paper scrapping, lol.

I CT for 5 amazing Ladies: Leslie Hasenkamp, Brandi White, Sarah Kendall, Julie Major, and Stephanie Brocollo. I also CT for the Digitals team.
